May Day (also known as International Workers’ Day) has historically been a celebration of labor and a day to protest capitalist exploitation. CUNY May Day aims to link the fight for a People’s CUNY to the working class struggle more broadly. A People’s CUNY is a fully funded and fully staffed CUNY, a CUNY that’s completely free for all students and that pays all of its employees a living wage. We know that we will not win a People’s CUNY without a People’s struggle. Join us Monday, May 1st on this day of working class celebration and solidarity to fight for the CUNY we all deserve!
